How much does a large combo bounce house cost to rent?
Combo bounce house rentals typically cost $200 to $550 in October 2026. Learn what raises the price, the common fees, and how to get a quote.
You've picked the party date and the guest list keeps growing. Now someone wants a bounce house with a slide, and you'd like to know what that costs before you start calling companies. As of October 2026, most bounce-house-and-slide combos rent for about $200 to $550 for a standard rental period. Large, themed and wet-slide units can cost more. Fees for delivery, wet use and taxes come on top. Below are the price ranges, what raises the price, and how to work out your real total.
The short answer
A typical combo rental costs $200 to $550 as of October 2026. The ThePricer cost guide lists a "bounce house with slide (combo)" at $235 to $550+. A basic bounce house with no slide is $130 to $300. Many local companies price their combos in the $300s and $400s.
Two terms are worth knowing before you compare quotes.
- "Combo" means one inflatable with a bounce area and a slide built in. Many combos also add basketball hoops, climbing walls or pop-up obstacles. Some slides can be used wet or dry.
- "Large" has no standard meaning. One company's "large" may be another's "medium." Check the actual size in feet. For example, a 20 x 21 x 17 ft combo is much bigger than a 13 x 13 ft starter unit, and it's priced higher.
The biggest combos cost the most, especially themed ones and wet/dry units. One Houston-area company lists its 4-in-1 Nerf combo from $575 for up to four hours. That's above the usual range before any fees.
Price ranges by type
Here is where combos sit among other inflatables, using ThePricer's ranges as of October 2026:
- Basic bounce house: $130 to $300
- Themed bounce house: $195 to $350+
- Combo (bounce house with slide): $235 to $550+
- Water slide: $285 to $650+
- Obstacle course: $225 to $800+
- Large interactive inflatable: $500 to $800+
Thumbtack puts the national average for a bounce house rental at $160 to $200. That figure covers all bounce houses, including small ones, so expect a large combo to cost more.
Company listings show how much prices vary by region:
- Ohio: Columbus Parties lists its Western Bounce Slide/Combo at $329.99 for up to 3 hours.
- Texas: Sky High Party Rentals in the Houston area lists its Carousel Combo (20 x 21 x 17 ft, wet/dry slide) from $425 for 1 to 4 hours, and its 4-in-1 Nerf combo (17 x 15 x 13 ft) from $575.
- Georgia: Thumbtack's Decatur-area listings show smaller units for much less: a combo bouncer with wet/dry slide at $175 and a 24 x 10 x 13 ft combo at $140. A 14 ft wet/dry slide is $150, and a 20 ft one is $250.
- Illinois: Thumbtack's Elgin-area page gives an average of $190 to $330 for inflatable slides, within a range of $160 to $390. Its example rates come from older listings, so check current prices locally.
Small combos can cost under $200. Large themed combos often cost $400 or more before fees, depending on where you live.
Rental length and weekends
The advertised price usually covers a short block of time, often 3 or 4 hours. Longer rentals cost more, but the price per hour drops.
Sky High's Carousel Combo shows how this works:
- 1 to 4 hours: $425
- 5 to 6 hours: $450
- 7 to 8 hours: $460
- 9 to 12 hours: $470
- Until 8 a.m. the next day: $490
- 2 days: $595
- Friday to Sunday: $680
- Friday to Monday: $765
Going from 4 hours to 12 hours adds only $45. If the party might run long, book the longer slot from the start. The company's Nerf combo goes from $575 for 4 hours to $640 overnight and $920 for a Friday-to-Sunday weekend.
Columbus Parties uses a similar setup. Its combo is $329.99 for 3 hours, plus $35 for each extra hour. It's $429.99 for 8 hours and $629.99 for a Friday-to-Sunday weekend, ending around 5 p.m.
Holiday dates can cost more. Columbus Parties may add a holiday or all-day fee on busy dates such as July 4th weekend, Memorial Day, Labor Day and New Year's Eve. Sky High also notes that weekends and holidays cost more on some rentals. ThePricer lists warm-season Saturdays, graduation weekends and holiday weekends as high-demand dates, and says weekday prices can be more flexible. If you're planning a Halloween party or a Thanksgiving-weekend get-together, ask whether that date has extra fees.
Fees on top of the price
The listed price is rarely what you'll pay in the end. Ask about each of these fees:
- Delivery: Many companies include delivery and setup within their local service area. Thumbtack's Illinois page says this is typical. Outside that area, expect a charge. Sky High's delivery starts at $65 and depends on your ZIP code. ThePricer's example adds $35 for delivery outside the standard area.
- Wet-use fees: Using the slide with water can cost extra. Columbus Parties charges $49.99 for wet use and $199 if the water comes from a well. If you don't tell them and the unit comes back wet or with well water, they bill $200 to $499+. Always say up front if you plan to use water. Some dry slides also cost more as wet rentals. One Illinois-area 30 x 10 x 18 ft slide was listed at $250 dry and $325 wet. In cool fall weather, a dry rental may be the better and cheaper choice.
- Generators: If you don't have a usable outlet nearby, you'll need a generator. ThePricer lists about $75+ per day. Thumbtack's Georgia listings show $75 for a 2300W generator and $100 for a 3000W one, and an Illinois listing shows $44.99.
- Tech or service fees: Sky High adds a 3% tech fee at checkout.
- Sales tax: The rate depends on your state and city, so ask for it in the quote.
- Cleaning fees: ThePricer lists about $50 to $300 if the unit comes back very dirty. Silly String, food and mud can all cause this charge.
- Minimum orders: Some companies require a minimum order total. At Sky High, the minimum depends on your ZIP code and the date.
Size, space and power checks
Before you book a large combo, check your yard. A big unit doesn't help if it can't get to your yard or doesn't fit once it's there.
- Footprint and clearance: Measure the flat area you plan to use. Compare it with the unit's listed size. Sky High recommends at least 1 ft of clearance on all sides. Many companies ask for more, so check with yours.
- Access: The rolled-up unit has to fit through your gate. Sky High recommends a gate at least 3.5 ft wide.
- Power: The blower needs one standard outlet on its own 20 amp breaker. Sky High supplies free 50 to 75 ft extension cords and also rents generators.
- Water: For wet use, you need a garden hose spigot close enough to reach.
Safety matters as much as space. Thumbtack, citing American Academy of Pediatrics guidance, recommends anchoring the unit, having an adult supervise at all times, following the posted weight and occupancy limits, and considering limiting use to children 6 and older.
How to get an exact quote
Prices change with your date and ZIP code, so the only exact total is a written quote. Sky High, for example, sends customers to its booking calendar for that reason. When you call or book online, ask:
- What are the unit's exact size and age range, and how many kids can use it at once?
- How many hours does the base price cover, and what does each extra hour cost?
- Is delivery included at my address? If not, how much is it?
- Is there a fee for wet use, holidays or weekends?
- What tech fees, sales tax or minimum order apply?
- Are you licensed and insured, and can I see your third-party safety inspection reports? Thumbtack recommends confirming all of these.
One company's example: Sky High's Carousel Combo for 1 to 4 hours ($425), plus $65 delivery, comes to $490. Adding the 3% tech fee brings it to about $503 to $505 before sales tax. The exact figure depends on whether the fee applies to delivery. That's about 19% above the listed price. A wet setup, generator or holiday date would raise it further.
